In December 2014, I sent a friendly note to some of my friends reminding them to open and contribute to a Roth IRA as part of their New Year's resolution.
The friends to whom I sent this reminder had just graduated from some of the most elite colleges and universities across the country. Yet, the responses I received in return were mostly along the lines of "how do I open a Roth IRA?" One friend even asked, "what's a Roth IRA?"
These responses helped me recognize the greater issue at hand: most Millennials don't have a clue about where to begin when it comes to personal finance. If fact, most Millennials don't even know which questions to ask in order to begin.
If some of America's brightest college graduates don't know how to manage their money, where does that leave the rest of us?
Step One Investing provides easy, accessible information about the questions that Millennials don't know how to ask. My hope is that even if you have minimal interest in personal finance, Step One Investing will provide you with a starting point on the path to financial independence and success.
